We stopped for breakfast, it was nice. Quiet , calm atmosphere, and our food was great. I recommend the hash browns

Burgers and fried pickles were delicious! French fries and tater tots were undercooked. If the sides were a bit better it would have definitely been 5 star.

All our different selections were delicious. Very clean and great service. Highly recommend.

Nice down- home place to eat

Just left from here and omg the food!! The portions were huge, food was so good, hot & delicious and the prices are great too. Fed my family of 5 for about $45. We took home a to-go box and still left food on our plates because we were so full. I definitely recommend this restuarant!!!

We had breakfast, I had the Western Omelet, and my wife had the Two Egg Breakfast. They were both great. And we were very impressed by how fast the food came out. The waitresses were very attentive and super friendly. I reccomend this place highly, but I suggest you get there early if you want a place to sit.

Food was very unseasoned. The steak my husband ordered tasted old and was horrible. The garlic bread was so strong tasting which he was completely done after that and didn’t want anything else. My food was edible but was nothing great enough that we would ever wanna step foot back in that place. I was sure hoping it was gonna be great place to eat.

Great home cooking. If you are looking for comfort food then this is your place.

Avoid this place. The food was mediocre and the staff were slow, lazy, and unmotivated. There are plenty of restaurants around this area - and any one of them would be better.

Burgers are onion rings were fantastic. Burgers are hand-made so they are very filling. The only thing better than the food was the service.

We were CRAVING breakfast and rolled in 10 minutes after they stopped serving breakfast. I was devastated!! The first question our awesome waitress asked was if we would like some breakfast!!!! Hell ya I’d LOVE some breakfast!! The food was scrumptious and the service was fantastic! If we ever come through your town again, we’ll be back!!

Food was great!! People were awesome!! I took my mom on a day trip and a local consignment shop recommended a couple places and we stopped there to eat not realizing they were very close to closing for the day. We were greeted and had lunch not turned away and the could have if they wanted to due to the time. Only when we were leaving did we notice the closing time and apologized for keeping them. The ladies said not to worry about it. I posted a pic of our waitress on my Facebook page and told any of my friends heading that way to stop by and eat!!

Delightful local resturant with homemade feel and delicious food. Biggest pancake I've ever eaten.

Forgot an order. Burnt to s crisp toast and pancake tasted bad. Bad for out of town people visiting.

It took 50 minutes from the time we sat down and ordered before our food arrived. Empty coffee cups sat at the edge of our table for 20 minutes before someone came over. Ate better food at the River Walk breakfast buffet.

After reading all the reviews from the cabin I was in I had to try the French toast here. The reviews were several years old so I can only determine the people had either never had French toast or things have changed. While it was good (I consider myself a French toast connoisseur) it was nothing to write about. That being said, I'm sure everything here would be at least satisfactory and the way people were piling in, I'd say that's a safe bet.

The burgers are about the best I've had, and I've tried them about everywhere we've traveled. I ordered the double burger and it was almost more than I could eat. The folks working there were pretty friendly and the service was great.

Not impressed at all, food was blend, waitress not attentive at all. Only came to the table to take our order and to give us our meals which took a while to come to the table. There was no waitress checking up on us while waiting on our food or after we got out food. I had to get up from my table to ask for check etc while waitress was on her phone. Food definitely not worth what we paid for. Maybe all the good reviews are from locals. Also keep in mind they charge extra if u pay with a card

Obviously the great reviews are from locals only because we waited for our food for over an hour before deciding to leave. We didn’t order anything that would have taken a long time. Waitress brought coffee and 15 minutes later we had to ask for spoons to stir the cream/sugar, never apologized for the wait and to top it off there were not that many people there. Needless to say, we will never return there.We did notice some people arrived and were immediately served with a smile.

Best burger I have had in a long time! We were staying in the area and just back from horse riding and came into this cafe. Staff were busy but attentive and water on the table quickly. Orders taken from a hungry crew and it was the most satisfying burger (two patty, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onion and a fresh bun). Everyone in my family loved the burgers and they eat a ton of hamburgers from everywhere. The better half had the grilled chicken which she said was very good as well. We will be back... the notes about service we did not see or experience. In pace with the area which we were ok with.

We were greeted immediately upon entering and told to sit anywhere.The waitress attended us quickly upon being seated & water was on the table quickly. The waitress checked on us to see if we were ready to order and answered questions about food and was very friendly! The food was delicious! Friendly and casual atmosphere! Enjoyed eating there and will return!

Small cozy place to eat. Very nice waitresses and big portion food at great prices. Will need to visit again if around this area!

Ate here for breakfast it was just like home cooking. Ordered blueberry pancake it was huge and had whole blueberries, delicious. Highly recommend.

Bacon burger was great! Breakfast is only available until eleven am. Super friendly staff and food was out in the appropriate amount of time. Will be back for sure!

Awesome place to eat with huge pancakes as big as the plate for only a couple of dollars. Friendly service every time I go which is usually every Sunday before church abd sometimes after work during the week. Highly recommend.

Sit anywhere upon walking in and the waitresses were very nice and helpful. Great burgers and fries! Fried pickles were good, but heavy on the breading. Everything was hot and fresh. Turtle pie was good. Will visit again!

Reviews are super misleading. The service is extremely slow and the wait staff are... Well they weren't rude but they certainly weren't nice or attentive. We were barely acknowledged. It took about an hour and twenty minutes to get seated and receive our food. The burger was very good but not worth the wait or service provided. The chicken fried steak was really below average. We will definitely not return. If you're in Broken Bow and need a good place to eat SKIP Shady Oaks, go to MAC's. Their food is awesome and their service is outstanding.

Didn’t like it. Toast was literally just bread with butter on it, asked for it to be toasted more and it came out the same. French toast was really nasty too. It had so much cinnamon none of us could eat it. Really nice staff but bad food.
